Family time
This is the Fontenot family. Mom, Kristi and I have known each other since we were kids. When you grow up and get your own family, sometimes you lose track of those people you’ve known all your life. I’m so glad she asked me to do her first family pictures. They have such a special family. The girls were born premature and have fought since the beginning. Kristi works with the March of Dimes to help inform other people about premature births. What a wonderful thing to do! Thank you for the privileged of letting me take your portraits. Hope you enjoy!

Beautiful inside and out!
I know I always say I had so much fun on a session. This session was a blast! This beautiful lady is graduating from Ouachita high. I must say working with her was a joy, my job was very easy. She is so sweet, and as always I commend anyone who is respectful to their parents. Mom was wonderful too! Thanks for all your posing ideas Mom. I truly enjoyed myself. I guess it couldn’t help that I really need a break from the boys and this was just the thing to liven me up! We had a good laugh at each other with grease on our behinds after we decided to sit on the tracks. Saundra you are a beautiful lady. I wish you the best of luck for your future. There were so many that were my favorites I had a hard time deciding what to post. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Little Ballerina
This sweet little girl is my cousin Ally Beth. We had lots of fun with this session. When I saw her dressed in her outfit I immediately thought of how every little girl dreams of being a ballerina. It’s so wonderful that she is getting to do that! I did get to catch up with my Aunt. That was a long time coming. I don’t think we have seen each other in over a year. It was so good to see her. I can still remember how I wanted to be just like her when I grew up. She was alway the little sister I never had. Hope y’all had as good of a time as I did! Don’t let it take this long to see each other again. Love Y’a!

Danny and Olivia…so in love!
This couple had one of the prettiest weddings I have been to in a while. It wasn’t necessarily the decorations (although they were pretty) it was the feeling that they really truly loved each other. The azaleas were in bloom an so was their love! Danny and Olivia I wish you many happy years together. Congratulations and best wishes!

Giving Back That Special Feeling!
As a child growing up my self esteem was low. I always felt out of place, and not nearly pretty enough. I still remember the day my mother took me to have my glamor portraits taken….I felt like someone special, someone important. I would like to return that feeling to someone else now.
Does this sound like someone you know? I’m looking for a senior who is willing to be Kyla Branch Photography’s next top model! This person needs to be nominated by someone other than him/herself. Tell me why he/she is deserving of this day of glamor. No entry will go unnoticed. Even if you just think he/she is just beautiful because they are your son/daughter. You never know your story might just pull at my heart strings. I especially want nominations for seniors who’s family just cant afford the give their child that special memory. All entries must be in to me by next Saturday April 12th, 2008. More than one person can nominate the senior…in fact I would love it!
I’m looking forward to your entries. I will announce the winner Saturday night!

Spring has Sprung!
The easter bunny hopped over to Mrs. George Franklin’s house and these two found him there. This is Madison and Drake. I have had had several sessions with these two. It’s so much fun to see them grow up right in front of my camera. Mom wanted pretty spring portraits and the first place that popped into my mind was Mrs. Franklin’s yard. Her yard is so beautiful every year with hundreds of tulips. Thank you for allowing us to use your beautiful home for our backdrop. I hope this has ended my long dry spell with portraits. Rain and the cold has really been a hindrance lately, but hopefully it is over. I can’t wait to meet all of you who have made appointments. Thanks again for trusting me with your memories.

Little Miss Bella Boo
This is my latest addition to my family. Her name is Bella. We have had so much fun with her! When I brought her home Saturday Corran immediately started crying and saying thank you. DAB wasn’t so happy, he looked at me with an evil eye and turned and walked away. I suppose he thinks I brought a new baby home to take his place. It didn’t take long for her to weasel her way into his heart, just today they placed chase outside together. Dogs are like therapy to me. I love how they don’t judge you for sleeping late and staying in your pajamas all day. One thing is for sure I think Bella has made our family complete. I guess she will be the little girl I didn’t get. LOL!
Thanks to everyone who keeps up with my work, it is an honor to know I have admirers. I do have sessions scheduled for this week. I will be glad to get back out there. The weather and sickness has kept me down a lot lately. Corran will be starting T ball soon and Tim will be back in the field. All things combined I will be one busy Mama. If you would like to make and appointment please give me a call soon. I will only be taking a few appointments a week because of our busy schedule.
Hope to here for you soon!

~Eric and Kim~
Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing this couples sweet wedding. It was a small wedding, that felt very warm and intimate. Ashley and I hit a few bumps along the way, but we finally got our cameras to cooperate. One thing is for sure, weddings and portraits are two totally different ballgames! Even though I had fun with this wedding, I’ll be sticking to portraits. It’s much safer chasing kids around! Here are a few of my favorites. Hope you enjoy!

No peeking Eric!

Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the right. Love bears all things; believes all things; hopes all things; endures all things.

I need a boat!
Oh my goodness. I think we can call off the rain dances now. It has pored here every other day for the last month. I’m starting to wonder if I should trade my truck in on a boat! I do have a session Saturday with a wonderful family. I also have the privilege of helping my good friend and pregnant fellow photog Ashley Isaac with a wedding Saturday night. Y’all keep your fingers crossed on that one! It will be my first wedding. Now lets just hope the pregnancy sickness holds out on Ashley that day. Anyway, hope everyone is well. I’ll probably be posting Sunday. See you then!

Sweet little family and puppy too!
Yesterday was such a beautiful day! A wonderful day for pictures in the park. I had the pleasure of meeting this sweet family. They drove all the way from Ruston to meet me! I am honored and thrill to give you this sneak peek. I don’t think I’ve ever had to control myself this much with posting pictures before. Casey, and Shane, I am so excited for y’all to see all of them. You have such a beautiful little girl and an awful cute puppy. Thanks for choosing me to capture your memories.

100 Days of School
Sorry couldn’t figure out how to rotate it!
Corran and his classmates celebrated their 100th day of school yesterday. Mrs. Jones his teacher came up with great ideas for them to learn to count. They made 100 footprints, 100 hand prints, and popped 100 balloons! I wish I would have been there to see that part. After all of the counting they took a break and had cotton candy, candy, cupcakes and treats. Thank you Mrs. Jones for making learning fun for our kids.
